A display of books relating to the typeface Helvetica has been organized at Pratt Libraries in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the typeface and the film that was shown on September 25th. The display is on the first floor outside the new books alcove and will last through October 1st. The display is intended to continue a conversation initiated by the new documentary movie, “Helvetica.” Included are books and articles on designers interviewed in the film, books on graphic design, and books that incorporate the typeface in their design. Please come and browse!
The display has been organized by Dr. Ann Schoenfeld and Laena McCarthy, and is co-sponsored by the History of Art and Design and Communication Design departments, with publicity help from the Pratt student chapter of AIGA.
